Ever wonder what it’s like to sail out the Gate, turn left and just keep going?
Come to the November Corinthian Speaker Series and welcome back CYC members Bruce and Pascale Powell and their two sons who just completed a three year, 13,000 mile trek that took them from Tiburon to Mexico, to Tahiti, to Hawaii and back to Tiburon on their Jeanneau 47 Calou.
CYC Members Steve and Valerie Saul will also be there. They returned to San Francisco this year after sailing to Hawaii, Polynesia, Tonga and New Zealand on their Waterline 45 Kaien.
Collectively, these Corinthians have sailed over 24,000 blue-water miles so come hear about their experiences. They will talk about making the transition from SF Bay Sailors to Ocean Crossing Cruisers and answer lots of questions.
Frequently asked questions about cruising:
1. What were the best and worst parts of the experience?
2. What would you do differently?
3. How much did it cost to go cruising?
4. Did you have any bad weather experiences?
5. Are you going to do it again?
The event is open to all CYC members and non members alike.
(CYC members free, non members $15) The no-host bar will be open at 6:30 p.m. and the speakers will begin at 7:00 so arrive early!
