Jim DeWitt's life and love have always centered on art and sailing, beginning when he was 5 and sketched sailboats he wanted to sail. He pursued both, excelling in sailing, racing, sailmaking and painting. His sailing exploits include the Mallory Cup in 1963, 1st in the International Master's Regatta in 1992 and 2nd in the SF Master Mariner's Regatta in 2003. His art career is equally impressive; Jim was named Artist in Residence by the host of the historic 34th America’s Cup, GGYC. With a career spanning several decades, you can imagine Jim has a few good stories up his sleeve, well illustrated, of course. Program starts at 7, bar opens at 6:30. One of our favorite activities! The Friday Night Race Series! Sign up now.  Two series.  Starts April 17 Ends in August (NOR under preparation, but you can sign up now). Get scoring credit for racing even if the wind kills the race (amending RRS 32) plus a few sponsored parties and great times on the race deck.  Great way to end the week with the Racers' Grill, Music, Daily Trophies and Special Awards. Be sure to join us for our upcoming Breakfast with the Board (BwB).  For those of you who may be unfamiliar, BwB is a “town hall” style meeting which provides an opportunity for members to openly and informally address the Board and each other about various Club matters.  BwB provides a free flow of information regarding topics of interest to members, as well as an opportunity for the Board to update members throughout the year on current events of the Club.
