Acclaimed chef George Morrone, best known for his roles in creating Aqua, Fifth Floor, and Redwood Park restaurants in San Francisco, and Boca in Novato, has partnered with the Corinthian Yacht Club of San Francisco as Executive Consulting Chef. CYC has also hired Joe Gentempo as Chef de Cuisine. Joe was most recently Chef de Cuisine at Hog & Rocks in the Mission District of San Francisco.
George is excited to be a part of the long maritime tradition of the Corinthian Yacht Club. “Look, it’s an incredibly beautiful location, with a 126 year history, so it is a real pleasure just to be here in this physical location. Beyond that, I really appreciate how open and fun the Corinthians have been. The challenge of designing such a multi-faceted service reminds me of my days at Hotel Bel-Air and Campton Place. Joe and I love to cater the wonderful events we hold in the Ballroom. Plus, I want to participate in the excitement of the upcoming Americas Cup in a very direct way.”
The Corinthian Yacht Club dining room and bar is open to members and their guests and members of reciprocal yacht clubs. Following a long-standing tradition, the Ballroom is open to the public for private events for approximately 80 to 250 people.
